Cherish Biography and Life Story

Being born during short intervals allowed Cherish’s sisters not only bond at home, but also publicly. Farrah was joined by her sisters Neosha (1986) and her twins Felisha and Fallon (1988) to create a singing group named Cherish, the eldest who was born in 1984. As their aunt, who later became their boss, was interested in Pop aka Careers of Sounds, which once hit the road with the funk collective Earth, Wind & Fire, they were really no stranger to the music industry. The girls were particularly honorable for their effort to compose their own materials, even though they had the advantage. As Fallon himself clarified, “My style is really more cool and laid back. I’m the lowest note out of the group and I have sort of a soothing, airy feel to my voice. Farrah’s the sophisticated one out of the group. Felisha and I are kinda tomboyish while Neosha is the sexy one. She’s the soprano. We all have our unique sound.”

In 2003, when they were still twins, they began their work. They were taken in by Ashanti Records and an album named ‘The Moment’ was released. A single named “Miss P.” was mildly popular, enough to pull them up to the music scene, but still modest enough to start their career. The single featuring Da Brat for the album was the only published material from “The Moment” that was shelved for no known cause. Consequently, they partitioned ways with the mark. The set back did not deter the girls from reaching out to Capitol Records where there was renowned producer Jermaine Dupri because of their abilities. The girls have been motivated to compose their winning materials that will suit their profile.

In 2006, the development on the debut album was quickly finished, followed by a mega hit song “Do It to It” On Billboard Hot 100 list and #10 on U.S., the Sean Paul-featuring song managed to peak at #12 The R ‘n’ B graph. The video featuring the girls rebelling against the will of their parents was also successful since it was classified on BET’s 106 & Park to have reached # 2. In August 2006, the album ‘Unappreciated’ was published along with the title track as a song. As it reached the shelves, more than 91,000 copies of the record were released, catapulting it to fourth spot on the Billboard Hot 200 list. The girls soon find themselves again in the studio, focusing on their sophomore attempt, prompted by the accomplishment.
