The couple – who were engaged for 14 months before tying the knot – had a very “homegrown” celebration, Foster, 31, told PEOPLE Wednesday at Adweek and POPSUGAR’s Young Influentials party in New York. “There were no bells and whistles.” (Indeed, his father officiated the ceremony, and the bride’s mother made her wedding gown!)

“It’s about letting our families get to know each other because both are very much integrated into the entertainment industry, and their schedules are crazy,” says Foster. “It’s probably the only time ever where we’ll get both families in the same place at the same time.”

Zoe Kravitz and Chelsea Tyler, both 26, have revealed just how mortified they were when their respective fathers started discussing Lenny’s penis on social media.
In fact, Chelsea didn’t even know her Aerosmith frontman dad Steven Tyler had texted Lenny admiring his penis until his daughter Zoe gave her a heads up.
The affair, which Lenny Kravitz has affectionately dubbed ‘penisgate’, initially sprang up on Monday night during his gig at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, when the rocker’s trousers split open mid-performance and he exposed himself, while not wearing any underwear.
The following day, Kravitz posted a screengrab from his phone showing a text he received from Steve Tyler immediately after the show, in which he expressed disappointment he had never gotten to see the offending appendage before.
Dude…No underwear and pierced…F*** me. You never showed me that s***,’ Tyler wrote.
On Wednesday the two rockstars’ daughters had their own text conversation about just how embarrassing their dads were being.
‘So our dads talking about d*cks on social media is cool,’ Zoe texted Chelsea, with a see-no-evil monkey emoticon.
What?! Oh no…Twitter?’ Chelsea responded, clearly unaware of their dads’ chat.

Zoe posted a screengrab of the chat to her Instagram account, with the rather inappropriate hashtag ‘#rockwithyourcockout’.
Chelsea meanwhile was presumably too appalled by her dad’s behavior to even notice Zoe has her name spelled wrong in her phone contacts.
