Chaz Shepherd of “The Game” Talks About Hollywood and His New Passion
Fans of BET’s The Game know him on television as Trey Wiggs while viewers who tuned into 7th Heaven remember his steady character, John Hamilton. His movie credits are equally as notable! Philadelphia’s own Chaz Lamar Shepherd hit the silver screen in 1996 in “Set It Off,” and just two years after that rolled out in the made-for-television movie “The Temptations.”
And, today the multifaceted actor told me that singing is also his passion and that he is well on his way to making it a big part of his career. I checked out his smooth single on the show this morning, “Get You Girl.” Very Nice Chaz!
And, Chaz says he’s hoping to get back to singing for a new album in the New Year. However, don’t expect him to permanently leave the area any time soon. The Philly born and bred singer-songwriter who grew up in South Philadelphia and attended Evelyn Graves Christian Academy still calls Philadelphia home.
So what’s this well-known actor doing when he’s not in the studio or working on a new show? Chaz says he enjoys helping out in the community. This month, he’ll be working on an education and health awareness initiative with the City of Philadelphia.
