Chasten Glezman Biography – Chasten Buttigieg Teacher
Chasten Glezman is an American professional teacher who works as a junior high school teacher at a Montessori Academy in nearby Mishawaka, Indiana. He takes his students through humanities and drama lessons. He is also know for his marriage to Pete Buttigieg.
Glezman is a graduate of DePaul University where he earned his master’s degree in education. His BA degree in theater and global studies is from the University of Wisconsin in 2011.

Chasten is openly gay and so is his husband, politician Pete Buttigieg (also known as “Mayor Pete”), mayor of South Bend, Indiana, the only millennial candidate in the 2020 U.S. President race.
They met in August 2015 on a dating app by the name Hinge. They FaceTimed each other before planning for their first date which took place at the Fiddler’s Hearth pub. During the date, Glezman asked to try a scotch egg and Buttigieg narrates that it was at that moment that he knew he liked Glezman. They also watched a minor league baseball game, walked around downtown South Bend, and watched the fireworks.
They began living together in Indiana in 2016 even as Glezman oftenly went to Chicago to complete his degree.

The couple announced their engagement in December 2017 and in June 2018 at a private ceremony, they tied the knot at the Cathedral of St. James in downtown South Bend. They made a stop at an LGBTQ Pride Week block party nearby before proceeding to the wedding reception.
Chasten Glezman Supporting Pete Buttigieg’s Campaign
Glezman is quite supportive of his husband’s ambition to run for presidency since the day Buttigieg announced his desire to run. Glezman regularly shares updates of the campaign on his social media platforms.
