Chase Edmonds is an American football running back for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Fordham and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Edmonds entered the 2021 season as the Cardinals starting running back for the first time in his career, ahead of free agent signee James Conner. He started the first nine games before suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 9.

He was placed on injured reserve on November 13, 2021. He was activated on December 18. He finished the season second on the team behind Conner with a career-high 592 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 43 catches for 311 yards. On March 14, 2022, Edmonds signed with the Miami Dolphins on a two-year, $12.6 million contract.

Chase Edmonds Fantasy

Since Week 1, Edmonds has been out-carried by Raheem Mostert by a margin of 34 to 16. Mostert has also seen one more target than Edmonds since Week 1 as he is seeing the field more than Edmonds as of late. Edmonds has been fortunate enough to find the end zone three times in the last time games.

Unfortunately, this type of production is unreliable and makes Edmonds a risky start moving forward. With the unfortunate head/neck injury sustained to Tua Tagovailoa, prepare for Teddy Bridgewater to be under centre for the Dolphins when they travel to New York to clash with the Jets in Week 5.

Chase Edmonds College

Edmonds played for Fordham from 2014 to 2017. As a freshman, Edmonds played in 14 games rushing for 1838 yards on 294 attempts for 23 touchdowns with an average of 6.3 yards per carrying and received 121 yards on 19 attempts for one touchdown.

During his freshman season, he won the 2014 Jerry Rice Award winner and the NCAA FCS Rookie of the Year.

Chase Edmonds Injury

He picked up shoulder, ankle, toe, back and rib injuries. He missed 5 games, most with a high-ankle sprain.

Chase Edmonds Contract

Chase Edmonds signed a 2 year, $12,100,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, including a $4,100,000 signing bonus, $6,100,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,050,000.
