Charlie Sheen To Get $125 million In Settlement With Warner Bros

  • Source of Wealth: Actor
  • Nationality: United States

It has been reported that he is nearing an agreement with producers Warner Bros, and is set to receive a lump sum of $25 million over the next few weeks.

According to celebrity website TMZ, he will also get five times that amount due to syndication rights for the hit show over the next 7-10 years.

It is claimed he will receive the extra $100 million because he has starred in 180 episodes of the show.

Whether this will happen if the show flops without him in the starring role remains to be seen.

The Los Angeles Times has also reported he is close to getting $25 million to settle his contact.

It says the the figure represents Sheen’s participation in profits from the show.

A spokesman for Warner Bros. denied there is a settlement and declined to comment further.

The Mailonline.com contacted Sheen’s management for confirmation, but they have not responded so far.

The agreement would end the bitter fight, which erupted when Sheen was fired in March.

It roots stem back from January, when Warner Bros shut down production of the show so Sheen could seek treatment for substance abuse issues.

When they refused to start the show again after Sheen declared himself ready to return he blasted Warner Bros. and the show’s creator Chuck Lorre.

The studio later fired him because he was ‘engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct’ and unable to perform at an acceptable level.

Sheen sued Warner Bros for $100 million for wrongful termination, but a California Superior Court judge ruled any dispute about the terms of Sheen’s contract had to go to arbitration.

When he was fired Sheen was the highest-paid actor in television, making $1.2 million per-episode.

Besides the eight episodes he did not make last season, he was also under contract for 24 episodes for this season.

He would have made $38.4 million, and additional cash for reruns.
