Dr Lori Lyles, a registered physician of Charleston County, is arrested over ordering drugs for her personal use at various events.

According to an affidavit obtained by ABC News 4, a licensed physician based in Mount Pleasant is facing charges after using her DEA registration to order medications for her personal use on many occasions.

Lyles ordered Clonazepam, a schedule IV prohibited substance, many times in 2020 and 2021 “for her personal use,” according to the police report.

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine used to treat seizures and panic attacks.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control arrested Dr Lori Lyles, 59 years of age.

Lori has blue eyes and blonde hair. The Charleston County Jail released her mugshot to the public. Lyles also neglected to document the distribution of the medicine as required by law.

The Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Drug Control claimed that Lyles ordered quantities of the drug Clonazepam “by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.” She asked the drugs to be delivered to her Mount Pleasant office.
