CDC Salmonella Outbreak TikTok
The outbreak of Salmonella has been one of the hottest topics on TikTok now. According to CDC, 127 people from 25 people were reportedly infected with Salmonella infection on September 15th.
Salmonella Outbreak has doubled its victims in just a week. But by Thursday, 279 people reported infection with the addition of four states.
The illness increased by more than double. The infection has been growing rapidly since 2nd September.
But the actual number of people being infected is suspected to be even more. Most people are believed to have recovered from the infection without any medical treatment and tests.
Till now no food sources have successfully traced the infection. Various samples from restaurants where sick people ate were taken for the test.
But it seems that officials are having a hard time with their testing. As the sample contains various food items and it needs to be narrowed down to a smaller list. It might take more time to find out the source of the outbreak.
CDC informed that the Italian-style meats have already reached the grocery stores on 24th August.

The symptoms of Salmonella include vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps fever, and dehydration. The victim will start to see its signs between 6 hours to six days of being exposed to the bacteria.
Children, old age people, and those with weak immune systems are more prone to experience severe illness.
CDC recommends people practice healthy eating habits and sanitizing their foods and utensils before using them. They further recommend refrigerating perishable foods within two hours.
People have been instructed Italian Style meats to be cooked at 165 degrees Fahrenheit to an internal temperature. They are to reach the stage of steaming hot before being eaten.
What happened at CDC Salmonella Outbreak?
CDC reported that the Salmonella outbreak has stretched out to various places of the US. Texas and Oklahoma have the majority of the case.
The age of infected people ranged from few months old children to 89 years old person. Mainly females tested positive for infection.
About 26 people have been hospitalized. But there have been no death cases till now.
