In the most recent episode of Bo Dietl’s True Crime Podcast, Bo discusses the case of Carolyn Warmus, a former elementary school teacher who was found guilty at age 28 of killing her lover’s wife, 40-year-old Betty Jeanne Solomon, in 1989.
Similarly, Bo also discusses this case with his co-host and investigative partner, Michael Ciravolo.
After two trials, the first of which had a hung jury, Warmus was found guilty of second-degree murder in 1992 and given a 25-year life sentence.
Apart from this, here’s what we know about her whereabouts, health condition, and facial surgeries.
Is Carolyn Warmus Still Alive? Update On Her Heath And Brain Tumor
Carolyn Warmus is still alive, as there are no stories about her death having been released as of this writing. Besides, when CNN revisited Carolyn’s case and her claim of innocence in a 2017 report, she had already been identified as having a brain tumor.
She told CNN then, “I’ve been in this prison for 25 years, and I might die there soon and never see the light of day again.” As per Carolyn in The Fatal Attraction Killer, her migraines began about 24 years into her sentence at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.
In an interview with Crime Watch Daily in 2018, Carolyn claimed that her symptoms were deteriorating quickly. I could, in essence, cease to exist at any moment if I stopped breathing, swallowing, and having a heartbeat.
Moreover, she initially resisted having surgery while imprisoned and told Crime Watch Daily that she wouldn’t confess to the crime to secure her parole and possibly save her own life.
In contrast, she declared, “By no means, under any circumstances, am I accepting responsibility for the crime.

Where Is The Former Elemetary Schoolteacher Today?
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision notified CNN that Warmus was released from custody on parole in 2019 and that she would remain on parole for a lifetime.
Per the Rockland/Westchester Journal News, a magistrate in Westchester, New York, granted consent for the DNA testing in May.
Basically, the three pieces of evidence that Warmus hopes will clear her name are a glove with blood traces, semen recovered from the victim, and blood discovered in Paul’s tote bag.
Warmus has consistently maintained her innocence, and based on what she says in the clip for Oxygen’s The Fatal Attraction Murder; she appears to support that claim.
In the tape, she claims, “People painted me as the vixen home-wrecker.” There wasn’t any concrete evidence against me.”

Carolyn Warmus’ right side of the face appears to be partially paralyzed, as you may have observed if you watched The Fatal Attraction Murder on Oxygen.
In the two-part program, Carolyn details her experience with multiple brain surgeries and procedures on her face and eyes after receiving a brain tumor diagnosis.
She claims, “I’ve already had five brain procedures, plus surgeries on my eyes, my face, and everything else.”
The convict said, “I will never be back to what I was, and I will never be able to accomplish what I used to do,” the individual said. “It’s like Humpty Dumpty being put back together again.”
