According to NY Post, Lisa serves as a part-time Contract Editor at the University of Michigan Art Museum. She completed her doctorate degree in Renaissance studies at the University of Michigan in 2005.

Lauren Bessette was a principal in the investment banking department at Morgan Stanley in New York before her demise.
Lauren attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she majored in economics and her excellence landed her an invitation into the economics honor society Omicron Delta Epsilon.
After her graduation, she served as an analyst at Morgan Stanley but she left the firm to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Pennslyvania’s Wharton School. In 1991, she completed her studies and went to China where she learned Mandarin.
Later in 1994, she moved to Hong Kong and worked at the branch of Morgan Stanley where she was quickly promoted to the position of Vice President.
Everybody in her work loved and respected her immensely. One of her close friends mentioned that she had a huge heart and didn’t have any ego; she was also a person with a great sense of humor and a sense of fashion.
According to Observer, Lauren was in a romantic relationship with television and film producer Bobby Shriver. It is known that she was on her way to visit Bobby at Martha’s Vineyard the night of the crash.
