Originally from France, Carole Bouquet (born August 18, 1957) is an actress and fashion model who has featured in more than 40 films since 1977. She was born in the city of Paris. Bouquet was born in the French town of Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Her classically attractive appearance earned her the part of Melina Havelock in the 1981 film For Your Eyes Only, but she also appeared in a number of popular European films during the 1980s and continues to do so in France. As an actress, she is most known for her roles in the surrealist classic That Obscure Object of Desire (1977) and the globally popular film Too Beautiful For You (1989), both of which garnered her a César Award for Best Actress nomination. She was also nominated for a César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Rive droite, rive gauche (1984). Bouquet worked as a Chanel model from the 1980s through the 1990s. Judith Rassam is the widow of producer Jean-Pierre Rassam, with whom she had a son, Dimitri Rassam, before his death in 2007. She was in a relationship with actor Gérard Depardieu, with whom she had previously collaborated on many projects, from 1997 until 2005.
Bouquet was engaged to him from 2003 to 2005, and they were married in 2005. She also served as a member of the jury at the 4th Shanghai International Film Festival, which took place in 1999. 2014 saw her serve on the jury of the 67th Cannes Film Festival, which took place in the same year.
