Carmella is in a pack an American professional SmackDown wrestler, professional wrestling manager, dancer, model and former New England Patriots and Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader. On April 10, 2018, she became WWE Champion on SmackDown. Her career is going so well that it looks like she can’t stop the trail she’s blazed. Carmella’s Bio
Carmella was born on October 23, 1987 in Spencer, Massachusetts, USA, was known as Leah Van Dale by her kit. In the 1980s and 1990s, his father was a martial artist, former wrestler, and actor in the World Wrestling Federation, now World Wrestling Entertainment.
She attended David Prouty High School, graduating in 2006, and continued her studies at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, where she graduated from college in 2010 with a degree in marketing. While in college, she was already a professional cheerleader working for 3 seasons with the New England Patriots. It ended in 2010 before auditioning for the Los Angeles Lakers and making their cheerleading squad for the 2010-2011 American football season.
Like most professional wrestlers today, Carmella started enjoying her passion for wrestling at a very young age, she idolized Miss Elizabeth; an American professional wrestler and wrestling trainer who rose to prominence in the 1980s as well as Trish Stratus who also made her mark in the sport of wrestling.
Carmella signed her first contract with WWE in June 2013 and was assigned to WWE’s developmental territory, NXT. His in-ring debut came on October 16 against an unnamed opponent named Blue Pants. She beat her twice but then lost to her the last time they fought on New Years Day in 2015.
She was involved in an ensuing feud between Amore and Cassady against NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy. Carmella sided with the alumni as they battled for dominance in the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, winning was a far cry from them as they struggled to break into the NXT WWE Division. The victory she herself so sought had to wait for her final match in NXT as she was part of a 6-woman tag team match with Liv Morgan and Nikki Glencross battling against Daria Berenato, Mandy Rose and her nemesis. constant cum rival Alexa Bliss.
She was drafted into SmackDown during the 2016 WWE Draft and had her first win against Natalya on the August 9 episode of SmackDown Live. Carmella’s professional career was not so rosy, as she suffered a few losses against Nikki Bella; Lynch, the girlfriend of Jonh Cena, and others, she fought as part of a team.
Her career skyrocketed on June 18, 2017, when she was declared the winner of the first Money in the Bank women’s ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. However, due to the controversy surrounding how she was decided as the winner, Daniel Bryan posted a rematch and on June 27, 2017, she managed to collect the money herself and victoriously claim the championship title.
On January 28, 2018, Carmella entered the Women’s Royal Rumble, but would start with a loss to Nikki Bella. A few weeks later, in March, she prevailed against Naomi and headed to WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
Husband and relationship with Colin Cassady
Carmella and Collin Cassady formed a trio with Enzo Amore in NXT. Working together, Carmella and Colin were quick to imagine each other. They were, however, separated from each other in their profession when WWE decided to create a separate roster for RAW and SmackDown. This allowed Cass to qualify for RAW with Enzo Amore, while Carmella found herself for Smackdown. The separation did not mean the end of their relationship, as they continued to be elements for each other.
However, some reports online had it in January 2018 that the two are no longer together, citing that Carmella had deleted all of their photos together from her Instagram account. While the news of their split may not have been confirmed by the NXT couple’s comments, it’s still believed that they are no longer an item, as their Instagram posts have been void of references, expressions of love or emotions. to Colin Cassady, also known as Big Cass.
