But her time at Lucent Technologies taught her what she needed to learn, as she directly reported to Lucent’s chief executive and played a pivotal role in the planning of stocks.

The success that followed was unprecedented as it raised 3 billion dollars, as she got appointed as president. The corporation has an annual revenue of 19 billion under her command.

In 1999, she broke the glass ceiling when she got the position of CEO of Hewlett-Packard Company, as she became the first woman to lead a Fortune Top-20 company.

After setting the institution to new heights, she got fired following a boardroom disagreement as she moved on to the philanthropic organization Good360.

Early Life And Education

Carly Fiorina was born as Cara Carleton Sneed on 6th September 1954.

Growing up in Austin, Texas, she is the daughter of Joseph Tyree Sneed III, a republican circuit judge, and his wife, Madelon Montross, an abstract painter.

Coming from a lineage of educators and politicians, it was only natural for her to gravitate toward the same path.

Initially, she got her education from Channing School in London and later moved to Ghana, North Caroline, where her primary ambition was to become a pianist.

Eventually, she enrolled at Stanford University and got her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and medieval history.

Unlike her peers, she spent her youth interning as a secretary for Kelly Services as she carved a profession in Law. But fate had other plans as she dropped out to become a receptionist and sort out her thoughts.

Carly Fiorina’s Personal Life And Partner

They met five years prior, but she was already married, so they did not act on their attractions.

After her unfortunate divorce, he asked her out on a date, where he told her she would run the company on the day.

In 1989, he had enough of the corporate world as he made the unprecedented decision to retire and travel with his wife.

Although they desperately wished for children, God was unwilling as they remained childless throughout their marriage.

Instead, she became a loving mother to his two daughters, Traci and Lori Ann, from his first marriage with Patricia.

Sadly, Lori Ann died when she was 35 after suffering from a life full of alcoholism, eating disorders, and drug additions.

Previously, she committed her life to her Standford classmate Todd Bartlem, but that did not last for long as they divorced in only seven years.
