Capybara Song And Lyrics Is Storming Over TikTok

Capybara TikTok song is originally called After Party by Don Toliver. Toliver’s song has since become overtaken by the Capybara meme.

Sometimes, meme humor comes from mashing two distinctly different things together, which somehow becomes funny in an inexplicable manner. This sort of humor has been prevalent in internet culture since its inception.

The Capybara trend on TikTok is a classic example of this sort of humor. There is no discernible reason why associating an exotic animal like the Capybara to a fast paced R&B/Hip-Hop song should be so funny.

Here is what we know about Capybara Tiktok Song, its Lyrics, and its meme Explained.

Capybara TikTok Song And Lyrics

Capybara TikTok song lyrics comes from Don Toliver’s song, After Party. After Party is the fourth single off of Toliver’s debut album, Heaven or Hell.

The song has gone viral not only on TikTok but all over social media due to a meme that features a Capybara on the front passenger seat of a speeding car while the Toliver song plays.

The part of the lyrics used in the meme is the opening of the song which goes:

Okay, I pull up, hop out at the after party
You and all your friends, yeah, they love to get naughty

Though what the song is describing has nothing to do with Capybaras, this strange juxtaposition between song meaning and lyrics against what’s happening in the video have made it extremely funny to the general public.

Capybara Tiktok Meaning

Capybara TikTok meaning is more about the juxtapositon of the meme and the song than anything else. There is no logical reasoning behind it.

The song is about the narrator having a wild, debaucherous night filled with substances, women, and danger, while the Capybara is a peaceful animal that is known to get along with every other creature, and does not have many predators.

The juxtaposition here has to do with the fact that the high octane music and lyrics of the song run counter to the peaceful Capybara. Thus, people have not only found the meme funny, but in turn have started to view Toliver’s song less as a song itself than background music to the meme.

Capybara Meme Explained

Capybara meme first started in late 2020 around the time the song was released. Since then, the meme has grown to various social media platforms.

The After Party song itself was reasonably popular upon release. The Capybara element was introduced in September 10, 2020, when a YouTuber named EGA Nation posted a particular video.

The video featured a famous Capybara called JoeJoe the Capybara riding in a speeding car while the After Party song played and now has over 3.7 million views. The original video is from a video called Crazy Cody’s Creatures from 2014.

Capybara Russian Song

Capybara Russian song is one of the examples of how the Capybara meme has suprassed the original song. The Russian song is by Сто-Личный Она-Нас.

The song has only recently gotten popular on YouTube and TikTok, and is a blatant off-shoot of the Capybara meme. Lyrically and musically, it does not have anything similar to Don Toliver’s song, but due to the meme, they have started to be seen in the same breadth.

The main difference between them is that while Toliver’s song became a meme through sheer coincidence, this one seems to clearly be intentional. Given how successful it has become, one might say that the artist was right to do so, though the song’s shelf life might be alot shorter than Toliver’s song.
