Canucks Goaltender Spencer Martin Is The Brother-In-Law Of Sharks Defender Jonah Gadjovich

Spencer Martin and brother in law Jonah Gadjovich are rivals from two NHL teams. Jonah Gadjovich is married to Allison Martin turned Gadjovich.

Her sister supports both teams supporting her sibling and husband without any bias. The guys who always competed against each other in NHL are family now.

The wedding of Allison and Jonah was in the headlines since two NHL players became connected after the ceremony.

Jonah and Allison Gadjovic walked down the aisle on July 17, 2021, at Chateau des Charmes. Jonah began dating Allison in 2017, and it was official in June 2017 as there were pictured together in the United Center.

She supported her lover’s fresh beginning with the Canucks. Johan’s love for Allison has grown with her partner over time, and the two announced their engagement in 2020.

Spencer Martin Brother Jonah Gadjovich

Spencer Martin and his brother in law Jonah Gadjovich are both ice hockey stars. With his sister Allison tying the knot with Joanah, they became family.

Jonah was born into an athletic family full of players, as his uncles Blair and Tony MacDonald are both former NHL players like him. Blair completed 219 games for the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers, while his brother, Tony, is the head of amateur scouting for Carolina Hurricanes.

Gadjovich started playing minor ice hockey with the Eastern AAA Hockey League team, the Whitby Wildcats, as a child in Ontario. The Owen Sound Attack quickly picked him in the second round of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. Gadjovich had 89 goals and 66 assists in 228 games with the Attack during his time there.

Jonah was named to Squad Canada’s under-20 team, which won gold at the 2018 WJC in Buffalo, New York. He was voted game MVP after scoring two goals against Slovakia.

He Had An Outstanding Amateur Career

Jonah started as a standard player signing a contract with the Owen Sound Attack. The Ownes drafted him in the second round, of the 2014 OHL draft.

Gadjovich was chosen by Hockey Canada to attend his 2014 National Under-17 Development Camp. Later, he returned to the Attack for his rookie season. In 2017, Gadjovich was named to the OHL Second All-Star Team.

The NHL Central Scouting Bureau ranked him as 39th among North American skaters as the 2017 NHL Entry Draft came closer. He was ranked 60th in November, but his outstanding performance and breakout season propelled him up the rankings.

Spencer And Jonah Faced Off In December 8

Martin and Gadjovich played as rivals recently on December 8, 2022, as the Canucks faced the Sharks. Gadjovich had two shots on goal and three hits in the game.

His objective was unique in several aspects as he made his first goal of the season against his previous team and Spencer. Jonah isn’t recognized for his offensive ability, and he’s spent more time on the bench than in the lineup.

In 13 games, the 24-year-old has one goal, ten shots on goal, 34 hits, 25 PIM, and a minus-2 rating. Allison, Jonah’s wife and Martin’s sister was cheering for both teams, but more importantly, the two specific players.

Furthermore, they were close to playing in the same team rather than pitting against each other. Martin joined the Canucks in the 2021-22 season, but Jonah left for the San Jose Sharks in the same season.

Allison announced her relationship with Jonah via her first Instagram post on June 12, 2017. Moreover, she has since been seen with Gadjovich at other NHL events. In addition, she shared some lovely photos of herself and Jonah at their Christmas celebration on December 12.

Jonah enjoys taking his wife on vacations whenever he has the opportunity during his time off. The pair had a holiday to Blue Mountain Village in March 2018. The couple got engaged in 2020 after three years of dating. Jonah kneeled to Allison in front of the Gapstow Bridge, and of course, she said, “yes.”
