Brody’s father is of Polish-Jewish descent; Brody’s mother, who was raised Catholic, was born in Budapest, Hungary, and is the daughter of a Catholic Hungarian aristocrat father and a Czech-Jewish mother.

He learned Polish and Hungarian from his father and mother respectfully but he is not fluent in these languages. As Adrien Brody grow up he learned French and Spanish because these languages are widely spoken in the United States after English.
