Bump Season 3 Ending Explained
In Bump Season 3 ending, Oly and Santi rethink everything following a terrifying experience. Meanwhile, Reema and Vince’s life will never be the same.
When we left Season 2, Oly and Santi had just decided to move out of their parent’s homes into their own house.
The pair were staring down the barrel of graduation, jobs, and their child, Jacinda.
Santi worked on his new plan because he and Oly wanted to align their dreams for the future.
Picking up in Season 3, we jump forward to little Jacinda’s first day of kindergarten. Yes, nearly five years have passed.
Things aren’t as rosy as we last saw in the previous season as the pair have broken up.
Santi is now dating a new girl named Keeks, who is supportive and funny. Although things appear to be going well between them, Santi struggles to introduce her to Jacinda after she and Oly have intense reactions.
Ultimately, baby Jacinda meets Keeks, and their confusing encounter distracts Oly from Reema’s return from London.
Later Vince, Rosa, and Angie receive a surprise Mother’s Day surprise while Santi and Oly face a reality they weren’t ready for.
Everything going on in the plot, Season 3 is all about co-parenting, new partners, splits, and realization.
The diversity of the cast, to the circumstances followed by teen pregnancy, is much admired by viewers.
Bump Season 3 Review And Plot Summary
The third season of the Aussie drama takes a leap into the future. Viewers will get more about how teen parents navigate co-parenting, adult jobs, and drama within their families.
At the start of Season 3, Jacinda, the surprise baby that bound together high school students Santi and Oly, is starting school herself.
The child’s curious mind and ability to ask awkward questions put another layer to the series.
Olympia’s family, Dom, Bowie, and Angie are also back for the ride, as are Reema, Vince, Bernadita, and Rosa.
The teen parents are no longer together and Santi even has a new girlfriend, Keeks.
Oly is also struggling as she is unfulfilled and running off the rails in the business of a fast friend named Madison.
A new lens refocuses on Angie (Oly’s mother), who has a new attitude after cancer diagnosis. She further struggles with her complex relationship with Don.
Nothing comes easily to teen parents and their friends and families, whether they’re hoping to cement their bonding or start careers.
Bernadita, Santi’s Chilean grandmother, might be a tart presence, but the faith she desires to pass on to baby Jacinda, despite her mother’s (Oly) objection, is all that matters to her.
The Aussie drama has generally received positive reviews from viewers. One critic wrote on Rotten Tomatoes, “That’s the joy of the show.” The Times’s Craig Mathieson also praised the child’s ability to ask awkward questions.
Will There Be Season 4 of Bump?
At present, Bump has not been renewed for season 4. However, it is likely that a new season is ordered.
Season 3 has just ended, and fans of the series are already looking forward to the extension of the story. However, we must wait until an official announcement is made.
Bump was one of the most watched and critically acclaimed dramas on Stan upon release in 2021. The comedy-drama broke all previous viewing records for the service, and two more seasons were subsequently ordered.
Co-creator, actor, and producer Claudia said if the team had known the show will have three seasons from the get-go, it would have probably changed their approach to storytelling.
She added, “We may have been tempted to build in a story engine which it doesn’t really naturally have.”
Claudia further said that Season 3 isn’t manipulative at all. She revealed, “But then series three, yeah, there is a massive rug pull – but it’s really exciting.”
With the show’s significant popularity, we can hope that it will be renewed and return to our screens soon.
