Tributes have been flowing in for Buddy the Puffin aka Chris Abbott on Twitter even though an authentic source is yet to confirm the news. He was loved by thousands of people in his career spanning over 2 decades.
The man has been called a man with a golden heart who made people smile and imparted happiness to the world. little kids to the older generation everybody loved him and wanted autographs from him. His demise has shunned not only his near ones but the entire sports community and followers.

People are already talking about how devastated they are because of the demise of the man behind everybody’s smile during hockey games. One of the users said that Buddy dedicated his entire life in making people happy and giving them memories to cherish for life.
This is quite sad the happiness provider is no longer in the world.
Hockey: Who Was Chris Abbott?
Chris Abbott is the man behind Buddy the Puffin and he had been working at St. John’s professional sports all his life. He joined there in 1994 and when he left it was the 17th season for the mascot.
Even when he left, when he got interviewed, Abbott was always talking about how he wanted to return and how much he loved his work. Further, he also added that working gave him joy and he’d never known otherwise.
The workaholic man spent half of his life imparting joy, hence, we believe he is at peace wherever he is.
One of his incidents went quite viral. A girl named Kennedy was a little one with special needs and she was a huge fan of Buddy The Puffin. Her mother went on Facebook asking if anybody know him for her daughter’s 13th birthday. Abbott found out about it and met her and even later when he got to know she was attending his game.
The two developed a good relationship as well and Abbott still calls her an absolute sweetheart. This itself shows the honesty Buddy aka Chris imposes and the hearts he’s broken post his death news.

despite his popularity as Buddy The Puffin, his wife and family have always stayed out of the limelight and not much is known about them. He seems to be happily married with kids but it cannot be confirmed.
