Battle has been one of the most skillful MMA fighters. He is also the finalist of The Ultimate Fighter. He had defeated Brandon Hunt Jr, Cody Bundage, Donterry Woods, Brandon Schofield, and Impa Kasanganay when he was still an amateur MMA fighter.
Battle has recently gained popularity as he was announced as one of the 16 fighters for the UFC Vegas 24 event.
Bryan Battle’s Reason For Weight Loss
Battle has decided to drop down to the welterweight division after winning The Ultimate Fighter 29 in the middleweight division.
He currently weighs 171 lbs, whereas the ideal weight for the welterweight division is between 156 lbs to 170 lbs.
He realized he wanted to change his weight division during his match with Tresean Gore. He started thinking about it when he was leading up to the Treason fight where he was cutting weight.
It was the first for him that he didn’t have to cut weight by doing any sauna work; he just had to do some grappling in a hot room. After his fight with Gore, he tried to put on some weight, but instead of getting bigger, he kept getting smaller, stronger, and faster. He did a test cut which went well.
When he informed his management and UFC, he was unsure about his opponent for his welterweight match.
Battler will be fighting against Takashi Sato for his first UFC Welterweight match; this match fulfills his wish of fighting a veteran.
Bryan Battler’s Wife
Battler is married to his beautiful wife, Caitlin Battle; the couple got married in January 2021. The bride wore a beautiful white gown, and the groom was sporting a light blue suit.
The pair had dated for a long time before Battler proposed to her in June 2022. The couple recently welcomed their first child together.
Battler has never been caught in any dating rumors before Caitlin. Look’s like he only has eyes for one woman, his wife.
Bryan Battler’s Net Worth
Battler has an estimated net worth of $500 thousand-$1 million. The main source of his wealth is his professional career as an MMA fighter; he or any other authentic sites do not disclose any other source of his income.
On April 7, 2017, he made his debut as an amateur fighter against Michel Andre; sadly, he lost the match in the second round. In 2019, he made his professional MMA debut against Zachary Dalen; he won by unanimous decision in the third round.
During the second match against Nickalas Martino, Battler got pinned down by Martino by armbar. He didn’t give up and went full-on assassination mode and went four-match win streak. He has won against Josh Krizan, Ben Fowler, garret Fosdyck, and Aaron Chambers.
In 2021, the fight between Battler and Andres Petroski was one of the most exciting fights as it was the match to secure the place for the finals of The Ultimate Fighter for the middleweight division. Even though Petroski had started pretty well, Battler came back with a win.
