Bruz Newton Biography
Bruz Newton Kamau is a professional dance choreographer, singer, song writer, dance consultant, fitness instructor and creative director. Known for his song Zigwembe, Newton Kamau rose to fame when he appeared in the song ‘Bazo Kizo’ which he collaborated with Collo.
Newton explains how he got his first stage name ‘Bruz’ ”I have small eyes and when I was young I was nicknamed Bruze (from Bruce Lee) but with a Z and it became my name.” The ‘Zigwembe’ hitmaker, came from the ghetto, the dancer-turned-singer has had his name become the talk of town for his dance moves where he appeared in videos of some of the top artists as a dancer.

Newton has proposed to his long term girlfriend. The proposal came as a surprise to the girl and it happened in their house. The lady ebtered her house to be surprised by a candled lit roses themed heart and Bruz on his one knee said the magical words ‘Will you marry me’.The singer and his girlfriend are said to be living together.
Bruz Newton Bazo Kizo
The dance track Bazokizo features Bruz which is a victory dance and celebration of salvation. During an interview with Pulse, Newton explained why he chose to fuse rap and dance saying: “Rappers are not known for dancing and this was clear shot to prove wrong the stereotype ideology.”
