Bronson Alcott Pinchot is an American actor. He is best known for playing Balki Bartokomous on the ABC sitcom Perfect Strangers.

Bronson Alcott Pinchot was born in New York City on May 20, 1959, to Rosina Asta and Henry Poncharavsky. His mother worked as a professional typist, and his father was a bookbinder. Pinchot, along with his brother Justin Pinchot, grew up in Southern California.
He attended Yale University and earned a magna cum laude degree. He was previously married to Amy Heckerling. He began his acting career in 1983 with the film Risky Business, in which he played the role of Barry. After that, he appeared in films such as Beverly Hills Cop, The Flamingo Kid, The First Wives Club, and After Hours.
The hit comedy series ‘Perfect Strangers’ catapulted him to fame and global acclaim. Between 1986 and 1993, the show aired for eight seasons.
