Nick was named to Brad Hall’s crew for the Pyeongchang Games in February 2018, only four months after his 21st birthday, capping a spectacular ascent through the ranks with a seat in the sport’s showcase event in South Korea.
After moving from World Cup rookie to fully-fledged Olympian in only four months, Nick was voted Sports Aid’s Athlete of the Month in January 2018 and the BBSA’s Bobsleigh Breakthrough Athlete of the Year in July.

Nick is a member of the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment (3 paras), had his first experience as a bobsleigh while serving in the military.
Prior to PyeongChang, he competed in six World Cup 4-man races and three 2-man events, finishing 17th with Hall, Joel Fearon, and Greg Cackett.
He went on to finish joint fourth alongside Hall in the World Championships in Whistler in March 2019, equaling the country’s highest 2-man performance, although he missed the 2019/20 sliding season.
