Brian Tees Biography, Alter

He is a Korean-Japanese-American actor who was born to a Korean-American permanent resident of Japan mother and Japanese-American father. The names of his parents are not known at this time. He was born on March 15, 1977 in Okinawa Prefecture, the southernmost prefecture of Japan and his name was Jaebeom Takata.

After his second birthday, Jaebeom’s family relocated to Hacienda Heights, California where he later grew up in Southern California. The aspiring actor attended Glen A. Wilson High School, where he played soccer, managed his school’s soccer team, and demonstrated leadership abilities as president of the Associated Student Body. At that time he was also working at Blackjack Pizza.

After graduating from high school, Takata enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley to attend college and went on to earn degrees in theater and performing arts. After graduating from college, Jaebeom, like all other actors and actresses, began to pursue his career seriously and began looking for roles in films. A Korean director once refused him an audition spot because of his Japanese last name – Takata. He then decided to adopt Brian Tee as his stage name, which is culturally opaque in every way.

Brian made his acting debut on The Pretender (2000) as a male agent in the episode “The Agent of Year Zero,” in which he also appeared in other television series as Cpl. Thom Kobe in Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004), Nickelodeon Zoey 101 (2005-2008) as Sushi Rox, Eddie Choi in Crash, A 2008 Series and some other work early in his budding acting career.
