Following the viral tweet and the subsequent threats and media attention, Spencer’s friends & followers posted a range of posts in solidarity, claiming they also carry their guns and make use of the second amendment for self-protection, using the MeToo movement to justify their cause.
Breanna owns a number of guns, which she bought together with her mother. When pressed about the safety of carrying a gun within the photo, she confirmed there is an unseen bellyband that properly secures the gun. She feels strongly about her right to carry a gun, especially on campus, where a lot of effort is being made to make college campuses gun-free.
She also feels the bid to raise the legal age for carrying firearms is unacceptable, feeling that everyone should have the right to defend himself or herself. The often references to rape and the Too movement, to back her argument. Keeping aside her dabbling in socio-political issues, Breanna was also a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
