Brendan Mullin found himself in front of the Dublin District Court about a bank fraud of about $677 thousand.
Garda National Economic Crime Bureau was behind the bank fraud investigation. As per the investigation, the Bank of Ireland’s former managing director faces stealing charges of almost $680 thousand from the bank from 2011 to 2013.
Besides that, the accusation of him deceiving two people to sign a payment contract is there. It seems the motive was to make a gain for himself or cause a loss for another.
In addition to stealing charges and deceiving people, Mullin also got charged with false accounting, five counts.
The court agreed to give bail in the accused’s bond of almost $12 thousand. In addition to that, he was to surrender his passport to Garda. The judge allowed his travel for work purposes, but only after he provided notice to gardaí.
Although he got bail this time, he is to return to the court on 11 November 2021.
