Tyler bailey is a 27-year-old Bradley Police Officer. HE along with his partner Officer Merlene Rittmanic were shot while they were responding to a call for noise.
During the incident, Officer Rittmanic lost her life whereas Officer Bailey is in serious condition as of now. He was shot on the head and his condition was claimed to be critical.

The two officers were there responding to a call of dogs baring in an unattended car at the Comfort Inn hotel. When they confronted the owner of the car, they were greeted with bullets.

The car belonged to a 26-year-old Xandria Harris and she was staying in the room with 25-year-old Darius Sullivan. The two officers asked the receptionist if anyone under the name of Harris or Sullivan had booked a room. A room was booked under Sullivan’s name and they knocked on the room.
Despite their efforts, the two officers were left stranded outside the room for more than 14 minutes. When the door opened, Sullivan started shooting at the two officers.
Bailey was shot in the head while Rittmanic managed to escape from the gun range. Sullivan pursued the officer and got hold of her. His gun jammed at that moment but he reached out to her duty gun and shot her at least three times.
Officer Rittmanic pleaded not to shoot and told him to leave. But Sullivan shot her with her own gun and fled the scene.
