Who is Bonni Lou Kern? Biography and Wiki

Bonni Lou Kern is a Mouseketeer who first appeared as a dancer with a match in The Great Santa Claus Switch, performed by herself. When she appeared on The Muppet Show Club, her nose was changed from green to blue, and her eyes were enlarged.

The character was named during his first appearance on The Muppet Show Club, in the “Cowboy Time” sketch on episode 101. As Rowlf walked through the saloon, he greeted the girl as Bonni, in a gag reference to saloon owner Bonni Russell from the radio and television Western series Gunsmoke.

Despite the joke, the character has a female voice and usually has female characteristics. However, like other utility Muppeteers and background characters, gender can change according to the needs of the sketch; for example, in a wig, Bonni is used as the female love interest of the “All of Me” singer on episode 108.
