Sportscaster, motivational speaker, and author Robert Courtland Rathbun is American. Since 1996, Bally Sports South has broadcast his play-by-play commentary of Atlanta Hawks basketball games.

In 1998, he received the same accolade in Georgia after winning the title of Virginia Sportscaster of the Year six times in a row. The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame inducted him in 2008.

Rathbun graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, in 1976. He was given the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1988 and was inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
