Bob Rathbun Medical Emergency

According to a report from TMZ some time ago, Hawks announcer Bob Rathbun suffered a scary medical emergency on air and has been hospitalized.

Bob Rathbun, a Hawks announcer, was taken to the hospital after what appeared to be a medical emergency occurred live on television Monday night.

Before the Hawks’ game against the Thunder, Bob Rathbun spoke with analyst and legendary Hawk Dominique Wilkins when he appeared to be in trouble. Bob Rathbun was then taken to the back of State Farm Arena where he was attended to by medical personnel.

Bob Rathbun “lost consciousness,” according to a statement from Bally Sports, before being transferred to Emory Midtown for testing.

Bob Rathbun was born in Wakefield, Rhode Island.
