‘Through the Badlands’ is a martial arts collection that relies very loosely on West Chinese culture’s conventional route of genre-bending. Into the Badlands tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy in a world governed by colonial barons who embark on a journey to attain enlightenment through a dangerous region.
For decades, “Into the Badlands” has become known, where a capitalist structure has grown and wealth and power have expanded to be the largest and most violent. This area is known as the Badlands, and is divided between seven competing barons who, with the assistance of loyal powers known as the Clippers, administer and impose their rule with the instruments needed for daily life. Just the rank and luxury of the Clippers would be addressed by the general population and they are willing to sacrifice their life in obedience to their Barons. In order to see their 30th birthday, few clippers ever live, but Sunshine does not have an ordinary clipper (Daniel Wu). Sunny rose slowly through the ranks to become the Clipper and most trusted advisor of Quinn (Marton CsokasHead), displaying lethal martial arts abilities.
