In a monumental moment for both the Carter family and their dedicated fans, Blue Ivy Carter graced the stage alongside her superstar mother Beyoncé during the Renaissance World Tour in Paris on Friday. The 11-year-old showcased her innate talent and dance skills, captivating the audience with her remarkable performance. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers as Beyoncé introduced her daughter, exclaiming, “Give it up for Blue!”
Dressed in matching silver jumpsuits, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy flawlessly executed their choreography during the performances of “My Power” from The Gift, a part of The Lion King soundtrack, as well as Beyoncé’s 2020 single “Black Parade.” The mother-daughter duo commanded the stage, leaving no doubt that talent indeed runs in their family.
Filled with pride and overflowing emotions, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Beyoncé’s mother and Blue Ivy’s grandmother, took to Instagram to express her joy. She shared a clip of the performance and wrote in the caption, “Last night I saw my beautiful grandbaby (11) dance in front of almost 70 thousand people! She killed it and was as cool as a cucumber! Blue Ivy Carter No Fear.”
This isn’t the first time Blue Ivy has joined her mother for a memorable on-stage moment. In January of this year, the young talent made a surprise appearance during Beyoncé’s set at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai, where they performed their collaborative song “Brown Skin Girl.” Blue Ivy’s involvement in the song’s creation earned her a writing credit, resulting in her official entry onto the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart and securing her status as a Grammy winner.
The Renaissance World Tour kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden, and is currently captivating audiences across Europe. With the North American leg scheduled to commence in the United States in July, anticipation for the tour has reached a fever pitch. Tickets have been in high demand, and the inclusion of surprise guest stars like Blue Ivy only adds to the excitement and allure surrounding Beyoncé’s unparalleled live performances.
