Mable Haddock’s Death Cause Linked To Kidney Disease
Mable Haddock’s death has been linked to Kidney Disease. She had been hospitalized shortly.
According to the statement about her death by Black Public Media, an organization Haddock helped found and run for over 20 years, Haddock had been fighting kidney disease for a long time. The specifics of her illness have not been provided to the public, but they were grave enough to take her life eventually.
Haddock’s life may have been cut short by an illness, but the legacy she leaves behind is immortal. Every article about her following her passing reads less like a sad loss and more like a glowing list of achievements by someone truly luminary.
Haddock’s illness and death are but footnotes, a quiet raging into the night in front of the true story of her towering achievements and importance. That too, not only for Black media and Black people but anyone who wants to become a mouthpiece for their people and create a space where marginalized voices can be heard and that too safely and with all the support they could need.
Does Mable Haddock Have A Wife, Husband? Was She Married?
Her achievements in the public sphere have overshadowed all details of Mable Haddock’s personal life.
Haddock was very invested in public life but in a more behind-the-scenes way than most people of her standing. In her many jobs as a television programmer, film curator, and producer, Haddock made sure to be available as both a mentor and a helping hand to young Black and POC creators.
However, she always kept her personal life out of the picture and presented herself as Mable Haddock, Founder and CEO of Black Public Media. After all, Haddock got the idea of Black Public Media or creating a space for Black stories due to the lack of such an opportunity in her formative years.
It was almost as if Haddock could not afford to separate herself from her mission, her duty, and that is the tragic call of most trendsetters and idea originators. The people so committed to creating something new have to exemplify it not only in their work but also in their life.
All we need to know about Mable Haddock is Black Public Media. Everything else will disappear, and the people who intimately know her life will also disappear, but Black Public Media will remain.
How Much Was Mable Haddock’s Net Worth At Death?
By passing, Mable Haddock had a net worth estimated at $6 million.
As a trailblazer of Black media who had worked in the industry for over 30 years, Haddock had amassed an impressive net worth for herself. Of course, Haddock was continuously putting this wealth back into her organization, so perhaps, her net worth could have been more had she been selfish.
That’s not the kind of person she was, though; no matter her net worth, her legacy is more significant than most’s, and she will live forever in the hearts of every Black and POC creative whose life she has made better.
