His debut album Writing of Blues and Yellows is was released on the Chess Club/RCA Victor labels on September 23, 2016. It consists of 13 tracks with 5 bonus tracks on the deluxe version. He said that it’s a collection of all that he’s done over the past 3 years.
Some songs are hideously dated and unrelated to him, while others are things he just wrote last minute and squeezed the album. It does not have any particular structure or shape: all vocal take-ups are different and development inevitably changes. It’s nothing too smooth or tidy and it’s full of little errors, but, with that being said, that’s what came out of months of recording and he’d never change any of it.
