Who Is Beverly Allit?

Allit is an English serial child killer who has a history of killing no less than four children, three attempted child murders and causing grievous bodily harm to another six children.

Allit was arrested in 1991, for the crimes she had committed within 59 days in the children’s ward at Grantham and Kesteven Hospital, Lincolnshire, where she worked as a nurse.

Her victims were said to have been inducted with high doses of insulin, while some had large air bubbles in their systems, leading to lung collapse.

In 1993, Allit bagged 13 life sentences for her crimes and was jailed.

The case of Allit and her victims spurred popular culture to bring the subject to remembrance after many years.
