Better Living Hospital Description
Better Living Hospital (formely the Seventh-day Adventist Health Services or the SDA Health Services) is a faith-based healthcare institution owned and operated by the East Kenya Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. As a hospital, we believe in the well being of the whole person and therefore make the preservation of health as well as the healing of the sick a priority.
Through our health ministry, we cooperate with the Creator in His compassionate work of restoration of health. In keeping with its mission, Better Living Hospital offers FREE MEDICATION for HIV/AIDS management and care.
Located approximately 3 km from the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) in the leafy suburbs of Nairobi Milimani area, the 30-bed capacity Hospital is easily accessible from the city centre by both public and private transport and is situated along Jakaya Kikwete Road hence merging convenience and serenity.
Better Living Hospital History
The Better Living Hospital was started in 1968 as a medical institution offering both Medical and Dental care. Started by missionaries, the institution was originally intended to meet day care medical needs to missionaries in East and Central Africa who used Nairobi as a Hub.
Better Living Hospital was originally known as: Nairobi Medical Centre. In the mid seventies the Medical Centre expanded and opened satellite health centre in several parts of the country.
At the moment, Better Living Hospital provides the following services: Medical, Dental, Laboratory, X- Ray, Maternal & Child Health care, physiotherapy, and pharmacy.
The Likoni Road Seventh-day Adventist clinic in Nairobi industrial area offers both medical and dental services to workers in industrial area and its environs at very affordable rates.
Other services include: Life style and wellness programs, nutrition and dietetic services, aerobics and fitness, personal training, self defence academy, stop-smoking lessons and, alcoholic anonymous and cooking classes.
