A list of the best universities in the world for 2018 has just been published and the new ranking is something completely different from what we had before. Tanzanian universities were not left out as some of them had noticeable changes in their world rankings.
From what we have on the list this year, so is it. It is evident that most universities have put more effort into making or staying on the list of the best Tanzanian universities, while others have fallen off the List were removed because they could not progress faster in certain areas that were the criteria for improvement Rank.
For example, in 2015 51 Tanzanian universities made the Webometrics list of the best universities in Tanzania, but this year we only have 49 on the list.
