A midfielder is a soccer player who plays in the center of the field, often between the defensive and attacking thirds. They are vital in combining the defense and the attack because they are in charge of defensive duties and scoring opportunities.
The midfield is frequently seen as the team’s engine, and midfielders must be versatile, combining skills like passing, ball control, battling, and vision.
Different types of midfielders include Defensive Midfielders, Central Midfielders, Attacking Midfielders, Box-to-Box Midfielders, etc.
