After taking his doctorate degree at MIT, Sherman took his mother’s savings to purchase his Uncle’s drug company which became the foundation of the popular Canadian generic drug company, Apotex. To date, Apotex hires a total of 6,000 experts in 21 facilities. The company actually produces around 300 pharmaceuticals which are exported to 115 countries worldwide. Apotex has always been actively involved in legal battles to produce generic versions of branded drugs.
