A transgender person has brought attention to the fact that now everyone who gives birth is a mother, and he wants medical professionals to keep that in mind.
Based in L.A. Bennett Kasper-Williams’ son was born through cesarean in October 2020 to his husband Malik.
While waiting to give birth to Hudson, Kasper-Williams claims he was repeatedly misgendered by hospital staff, who referred to him as a mum.
Likewise, the persistent misgendering of Kasper-Williams by medical staff, who insisted on calling him a mom, bothered him during the birth of Hudson.

Bennett Kaspar Williams didn’t discover he was transgender until he was in his twenties, roughly ten years ago, in 2011. Three years later, he began the transition process.
He discovered he could be the person he wanted to be and have a child after he learned to conceive of his body as a tool rather than a collection of gendered preconceptions.
In 2011, Kasper-Williams recognized he was trans and began transitioning in 2014, which involved a $5,000 operation on the upper half of his body but not the button half. Bennett described the operation as ‘liberating.’

In 2017, he met his future husband, Malik, and the two married in 2019. The couple intended to start a family and discussed their options before deciding to have Bennett discontinue his testosterone hormone medication.
Bennett’s ovaries were able to function as a result of this, even though he had not undergone bottom surgery. He stated that he would be willing to try to conceive and bear a child.
Soon after, Bennett became pregnant and he and Malik welcomed their son Hudson in October 2020 via Cesarean section.
He claimed that the process of trying to conceive, being successful, and being pregnant did not pose any challenges to his gender identification. The only thing that made me uncomfortable about it was how medical professionals assumed his gender all the time.
Today, he takes great delight in the fact that he is both a father and the one who created his child.
