Ben Simmons is the son of Dave and Julie Simmons. He is of mixed ethnicity as his father is African American and his mother is Australian. Although born in the USA, Ben’s father, who was also a professional basketball player, moved to Australia to continue his career. While playing for the Australian National Basketball League, he met his future wife Julie, an aerobics coach and one of the basketball team’s cheerleaders.
