English actor and musician Benjamin Thomas Barnes is well-known and has had a number of prominent roles during his career. In 2006, he made his debut appearance on television, making a guest appearance in the UK series Doctors.
He joined the cast of a West End production of The History Boys that same year, playing the role of Dakin and winning praise from critics.
In the 2007 feature picture Stardust, which was directed by Matthew Vaughn and was based on the Neil Gaiman novel, Barnes made his acting debut as the young Dunstan Thorn.

In the Andrew Adamson-directed 2008 movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Barnes won praise for his portrayal of Prince Caspian. In the coming-of-age tale, Caspian first exhibits naiveté before seeking revenge and then letting go of that desire.
After meeting with the directors for just two and a half weeks, Barnes was offered the part, and he spent two months in New Zealand prepping for it by taking riding and stunt lessons.
