Benjamin Thomas Barnes, an accomplished English actor, and musician has played a number of notable roles over his career. He made his television debut in 2006 when he appeared as a guest star in the UK series Doctors.
That same year, he joined the cast of a West End production of The History Boys, playing the part of Dakin and garnering positive reviews.
Barnes made his acting debut as the young Dunstan Thorn in the 2007 motion picture Stardust, which was directed by Matthew Vaughn and was based on the Neil Gaiman novel. He also played the Russian thug Cobakka in Suzie Halewood’s Bigga Than Ben in 2008.
Barnes received accolades for his performance as Prince Caspian in the 2008 film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which was directed by Andrew Adamson.
Caspian, the protagonist of the coming-of-age story, first demonstrates naiveté before pursuing vengeance before letting it go.
Barnes was offered the role after only spending two and a half weeks with the directors; he then spent two months in New Zealand training for it by undergoing riding and stunt courses.
