Becky Stowe was remembered as a vibrant, little wild, and adventurous kid. She was living in Michigan with her mother and her boyfriend.
Everything was going ok for her until she vanished on the following day, July 9, 1993. On July 9, she informed her mother that she was having a sleepover with her friend Jacqueline.
She didn’t have a good relationship with her mother’s boyfriend, Steve, so she wanted to be away from arguments and have a sleepover. While going to have a sleepover with Jacqueline, she left her house with a note that she was going to visit her boyfriend, Robert.
Jacqueline and her boyfriend Todd became anxious when Robert called them after one hour asking where Becky was, and everything turned suspicious and eerie.
Even after 8 hours of searching where Becky was, her mother couldn’t get answers and reported a missing person report. Police did investigations and tried to find any person linked to the case.
They asked her friends and her boyfriend Robert, who said that he was busy that day when Becky disappeared.
He was doing his landscaping work, and after his work, he spent time with his family. Similarly, he also went to his other work at the restaurant. Since he had an alibi, he was off the radar being a suspect.
After nearly searching for 18 months, a woman called the police to reveal Becky’s whereabouts, and the woman was no other than Robert’s girlfriend, Angela Snyder.
She revealed that Robert had killed her and had buried her near his uncle’s farm. Police went to the location, dug and found her body in a decomposed state, and arrested Robert for the open murder.
Where Is Robert Leamon Now In 2022?
Robert Leamon was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend Becky Stowe, and later, he was charged with premeditated first-degree murder of Becky in 1997.
He admitted that he accidentally killed her while wresting her, but later on, it was found that the hole where Becky was buried was dug two days before.
Similarly, he strangled her, leading to breaking her neck, and then buried her alive in the hole. He was found guilty of Becky’murder and was sent to prison.
He was given a new sentence of a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 60 years in prison in 2020. He was granted parole and released from prison in January 2021.
Robert is believed to be living with his mother and step-father now in 2022.
