Evicted Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has opened up about feeling betrayed by his team while he participated in the ongoing reality TV show.
In an interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Whitemoney, who left the show last Sunday, revealed the sense of betrayal he experienced during his time in the BBNaija All Stars house.
“I got betrayed,” Whitemoney declared. He acknowledged that he didn’t enter the show with the sole purpose of winning, and he had a sense that the ultimate winner would be a woman. Nevertheless, he was prepared to go far in the competition, and he indeed made it to the eighth week.
Upon leaving the house, Whitemoney discovered evidence that the people he had trusted had betrayed him. He revealed that hackers compromised his Instagram page, making it appear as if his page handler was incompetent.
He recounted, “My hackers requested for $10,000. Shoutout to Prince and Tunde Ednut, who helped me get my page back. Prince came in as a guest, but he didn’t want to tell me so he wouldn’t destabilize me.”
Earlier last month, Whitemoney’s Instagram page, which boasted 1.9 million followers, fell victim to hacking.
Whitemoney noted that the same team responsible for managing his page during his participation in BBNaija Season 6 also handled it during the current Season 8. He expressed his gratitude to Prince and Tunde Ednut for their support in reclaiming his hacked page.
Whitemoney, known for his charisma and charm, emerged as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 6, tagged ‘Shine Ya Eye,’ in 2021, securing the N90 million grand prize. His experience in the BBNaija All Stars house, while marked by a sense of betrayal, also allowed him to showcase his unique personality to a wider audience.
