After the recently leaked footage of the press conference, the public is wondering whether Robert Peston was one of those few who had attended the Christmas party back on December 18 of last year. Is Robert Peston down with an illness?
The hashtag #WhoWasAtTheParty is currently trending on Twitter as the public wonders how many senior British Journalists were at the Christmas party while London was under Tier-3 lockdown.
Robert Peston has caught the public’s eye after the video footage of Allegra Stratton laughing while making light of the pandemic situation was leaked.
Robert Peston and Laura Kounsberg have remained silent, causing rumors to spread “Silent is consent.” The video has already received 9.3 million views mere days after the footage was revealed.
The longer Robert @Peston and Laura @BBCLauraK stay silent on whether or not they attended the #No10ChristmasParty, the more we can conclude that they *did* indeed attend that illegal party or other illegal parties. #DowningStreetParty #WhoAttendedTheParty? #NotMovingOn pic.twitter.com/LSB3R4i1XC

BBC: Is Robert Peston Sick? Illness And Health Update
No, Robert Peston is not sick. He is completely fine.
He is caught in the line of fire after he posted a status two hours ago regarding Allegra Stratton. He may have been trying to smother the flames she had been engulfed with; instead, he seems to have caught it.
The public had taken to Twitter to construe their opinion of him, asking him to speak up about that fateful day almost a year ago. However, after his status, many have decided they had had enough of his words.
He has elicited the fury of the public, and he has fallen in their eyes. One has responded in the thread as “This calls your judgment into question more than hers.”
I’ve known @AllegraCOP26 for years. She was a brilliant colleague on the show. As I would expect, she has done the honourable thing, and swiftly resigned. Whatever you think of what she said in the clip obtained by @itvnews, she is a model for many in modern politics…
