Barry Keoghan (born 18 October 1992) is an Irish actor. He is known for his roles on stage and screen, appearing in independent films and blockbuster films. In 2020, he was listed at number 27 on The Irish Times’ list of Ireland’s greatest film actors.

Barry came to prominence in the 2017 film ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’ with his truly terrifying portrayal of Martin, an American teenager exacting an act of grisly revenge on drunken surgeon Colin Farrell, but he was not an American nor a teenager, born in Dublin on 17th October 1992 and has a brother Eric. From the age of thirteen, he was raised by a grandmother and got into acting by answering an advert for non-professionals to train at a school called the Factory.

Barry Keoghan’s Mother Died of Drug Abuse. She was using heroin in excess, and this led to her death. It is not known when exactly the tragedy occurred, but it left Barry and his brother at the mercy of foster care. They grew up in Summerhill, Dublin, Ireland.
