Baringo High School Description and History
Barigo High School is a national school in Baringo County located along E/ravine-Maji-Mazuri Road in eldama-ravine Sub-county and is a boys boarding Secondary school.
The School has been in existence from 1965 with an initial population of 40 students it has tremendously grown to the current population of about 806 students in the year 2017. The school stands on a 52-acre piece of land and has a total population of 602 students and 33 teachers.
Baringo High School has a legally constituted Board of Management and an able Parent Teachers Association that aids in the management of the school. Academically the school has consistently posted an impressive mean score.
The school was founded 1965 sponsored by African Inland Mission(A.I.M) Kenya, the school has grown tremendously from a student population of 10 girls and 30 boys to the current population. The girls were phased out as from the year 2003 and the school is now for boys only.
With the promulgation of the new constitution, that brought the idea of devolved government into counties, there was a national outcry to upgrade and redistribute national schools in the country. Due to its exemplary performance, Baringo High School was fit for this category. It was later upgraded into National status in May 2011 among others.
Over the years the school has enjoyed tremendous success and has established many incredible traditions and that has come with our first-class teaching facilities and strong academic teaching.
Baringo High School strives to impart an education that will enable students to become well-placed members of Kenyan society, who will shape Kenya for generations to come. The school has strong ethics based on values. The school also offers an established curriculum by the Ministry of Education. The school has consistently posted an impressive mean score
The students’ discipline has greatly improved and the school academic Kenya Certificate and Secondary Education performance have improved where a number of students have qualified to join various University every year. Through strategic planning, it is envisioned that the number of students who will be joining the university per year from the school would double. Baringo High School KCSE Results
Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by SMS or online using an SMS number or website link provided at the release of the exam. Candidates and parents should visit the school for their official results slip. Results for all candidates and the school national, county and local ranking can also be found from the schools’ office.
The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the announcement.

Baringo High School Games and other facilities
The School operates on an integrated system where the wholesome growth of their students and thus we encourage them to take part in other aspects of learning such as games. As the students complete their 4-year curriculum, they emerge as the best having been brought up in the best way possible.
Facilities
Facilities are available for many of the sporting activities ranging from rugby and soccer pitches, athletics tracks, Basketball pitch, tennis court, table tennis tables, and hockey fields
The school also has inter-house competitions that are held with regularity. From these ripe fields are the school’s representatives selected. The school always fields competitive teams in soccer, athletics, cross-country, basketball, swimming, hockey, table tennis, lawn tennis, and volleyball.
