Jack Nicklaus’ wife is Barbara Nicklaus. She was born in 1940, the same year with her husband. She is 82 years old.

Barbara and Jack met in 1957 while they were undergrads in Ohio. Barbara was a nursing student at the time.

They got engaged on Christmas day in 1959, and got married in July the following year.

The couple have 5 children and 22 grandchildren together.

Barbara Nicklaus, was honoured as the First Lady of Golf by the USGA in 2015 in recognition of her selflessness, lifestyle and support to the game of golf.

“Barbara is full of love, like her mother. Her mother and father were dear people, and Barbara has inherited those genes. She does everything that is right, including raising money for charity, and phone people when they’ve been sick”, Jack once said.

Barbara was Jack’s number 1 fan.

Nicklaus won the U.S. Amateur in 1959 and 1961 and finished second place in the 1960 U.S. Open.
