Bahari Girls Secondary School aims to prepare students to make a positive contribution to the development of the society and to acquire the values of national patriotism, self-respect, self-reliance, cooperation, adaptability, a sense of purpose and self-discipline.

Bahari Girls Secondary School is classified as a public secondary school and is funded by the government of Kenya and managed through a board of governors and parent-teacher associations (PTA).

Secondary school education in Kenya starts at 14 years of age and runs for four years. Upon completion, students sit for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). This prepares them for university, colleges, middle-level trades, professions, vocational and technical training.

The secondary school curriculum in Kenya covers six major areas:

Bahari Girls Secondary School KCSE Results

Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by SMS or online using an SMS number or website link provided at the release of the exam. Candidates and parents should visit the school for their official results slip. Results for all candidates and the school national, county and local ranking can also be found from the schools’ office.

The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the announcement.

Bahari Girls Secondary School History

The school is a National Girls Boarding School based in Kilifi County in Coast Region. It covers an area of approximately 30 acres of land. It was established in 1991. Dr. Timothy Mtana Lewa the School Patron sought assistance from various friends in order to establish the School. These include among others;

Mr. Christopher Wilson, the proprietor of Kilifi Plantation who donated 30 acres of land. The Danish Embassy which put up the Administration block, Library, Kitchen, Dining Hall, and a Twin dormitory. The Australian Embassy which helped in putting up the first four classrooms, provided school uniform material and sewing machines.

The School enrolment has grown from the 80 students in 1991 to 700 currently. Our projection is to have 1200 students by the year 2020. The School has been improving academically. In 1994, the school means the score was 3.00 and in 2015 we had a mean score of 7.00.

With the elevation of the school to the National status in 2014, the Ministry of Education allocated sh. 25 million for putting up four (4) classrooms and one dormitory. These are almost complete.

Parents have also tried to improve the Infrastructure of the school. Currently, they are putting up one dormitory to ease the serious congestion we are experiencing in our dormitories.
