Ava Max whose real name is Amanda Ava Koci was born on February 16, 1994, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Albanian parents, Paul and Andrea who are from Tirana and Sarandë.
Ava’s mother was a trained opera singer while her father Paul was a pianist. She has an older brother whose name is unknown to the public.
When she was just 8 years old, Ava Max later moved with her family to Virginia where she often participated in several Radio Disney singing competitions in malls. At the age of 13, she adopted the name Ava as her first name.
In pursuit of a music career, Ava moved with her mother to Los Angeles when was 14 years old. However, she was usually rejected because she was underage. She also moved to South Carolina a year later but eventually returned to Los Angeles with her brother when she was 17 years old.
